Think about where you are in this moment and this is where we will begin. If you are caught up in climbing a difficult mountain don’t worry. The next step takes you all the way to the top. Perhaps you are walking along a deserted shore. Spin around in a circle and be exactly where you need to be. Life becomes about taking the steps necessary to awaken and arrive at your destination in the blink of an eye as if you were meant to be there all along. This journey today is about the sudden awareness of the totality of your being all at once recognized and grooved to the point where you are getting it continuously; the idea of a unified awareness.
Here are some images to take with you now in this wake up call to consciousness along the way.
The forest ended suddenly, the line of trees now receding into the distance as she walked through a narrow path with tall grass on either side. Every once in a while butterflies would appear and disappear barely able to contain their joy at being in such a place where the abundance of flowers overwhelmed the senses. The path gradually grew wider until it became a meadow at first and then a large open plain. In the distance snow capped mountains framed the horizon offering a fine contrast to the warmth of the day and gentle breezes that coursed through her hair. She laughed and spun around dancing. She was where she wanted to be and this was enough for her.
Your thoughts will move everywhere that you direct them to. This is something that has been known since before even our conception of time. Where we think there we travel. The opposite is also true. Your thoughts trap you if you let them, which is why every exercise of awareness also has to be one of letting go of the status quo in order to experience the world to come. In Kabbalah the ‘world to come’ refers to an after life on the surface that is. In truth this ‘world to come’ represents exactly the very next moment and all such moments that are derived simply from our intention to make it so and our connection to the unified awareness that always supports all of our efforts.
Enjoy another series of images that illustrate this concept.
Two sages walked down the road praying for rain in a land long dry from months of drought. They met a small child who asked what they were doing. The two sages explained about the rain, the creator and why they needed to pray. The child thought about this for a few moments as the sages moved on their way. When they turned back it was raining where the child was jumping and dancing in the puddles that were suddenly formed. It was still dry over their heads. They waved to the child and as they did so the rain also fell upon the heads of the sages and all the land felt the relief of the drought.
Believe as a child or have your belief become as a child. When this happens there is no delay between what you ask for and what you receive. It becomes the same, which after all is how it was always meant to be.
Begin in this moment all that you are.
Stay close to this vision near or far
Let go of all that seems to be
Become everything your child’s heart can see.
There an angel did appear
Surprising me to come so near
Sent from heaven by the light
Almost I did not see this wondrous sight.
The words silent spoken from the heart
Where gentle spirits live to play their part.
Yes to give thanks for such a thing
So natural like dancing in the spring.
Always to be with me now to feel the glow
With praises always above my thoughts will flow
And time has stopped in such a moment now
No reasons to wonder whether why or how.
It is enough just to be
To run and soar setting free
The joy that lives inside of you
For this is where all love becomes true.
